If you’re shopping for life insurance, then one of the first questions you’ve got to answer is whether you want whole or term life insurance. Each kind of insurance has benefits and drawbacks to it, depending on exactly why you’re buying it.

The biggest difference between whole and term insurance is the length of time you need it for. Whole insurance is meant to cover you for your entire life, while term life insurance is only temporary. Whole life insurance is more expensive, but the premiums never go up. You’ll even get a payout on it if you reach your 100th birthday. That payout is a guarantee, and it comes either on the date of death or the 100th birthday, whichever comes first.

Term life insurance is sold by term, usually in periods of an odd number of years. Typical policies can run for 3, 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 years, and they’re a lot cheaper than buying a permanent policy which lasts your whole life. However the payout only comes at death. It’s not guaranteed on the 100th birthday if you happen to reach it.

If you’re buying an insurance policy for a child, always choose whole insurance over term. These policies are cheaper for children than they are for adults, and since they cover the child for his entire life, he will never need to buy another policy. Another reason to choose whole insurance for children is to lock in those cheap rates while the child is young. The longer you wait to purchase a whole policy, the higher the monthly rate will be.

When you’re shopping for a policy for yourself, consider a term policy based on your age and general health. Use those factors to determine how long of a term you decide to buy. As with anything, comparison shop to get the cheapest rate before you buy.

Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/How To Save Big On Term Coverage Life Insurance

If you understand the importance of Term Coverage for your family your next step is to find the best deal you can on this type of term life insurance.

Here are several strategies on how to save big on Life Ins Term Coverage:

Skip the “No Medical Term Life Insurance”

Recently, insurance companies have made this type of option available where when you apply for term life coverage you can choose to opt out of having “No Physical Exam” also may be labeled “Instant Insurance Life Quote Term”.

Although this may be convenient in terms of getting insured quickly your premiums may rocket up for this extra convenience. Don’t skip the Medical exam for life coverage. You are adding risk to the insurance company which translates into increased premium rates AND a limit to how much death benefit you are allowed to have.

The Medical exam is quick and simple:

You set the appointment time and location
Medical Specialist will visit you
Go through your Application
Take your Pulse
Take a Blood Sample
Take a Urine Sample
Only takes 10-15 minutes
Only 1 time for the Life Policy

Know How much Term Coverage you need

Calculate a general amount of term life coverage your would need:

Monthly Expenses:

Food/Utilities
Mortgage / Rent
Auto Loans
Education / Future College Tuition

Add any other monthly or future expenses

Span these expenses out for a 20 to 30 year term. This will give you the realistic amount of term life ins that you would need.

Do not buy too little coverage and certainly do not buy too much coverage.

If you purchase too little life ins you may be setting up your family to be only partially protected.

If you purchase too much coverage you will be throwing money away. It would be better to save that money for your daily expenses or invest it.

Purchase Life Insurance Amounts in Tiers

You may not know this but the cost of life coverage is set in tier amounts.

For example: One of the tiers is set between 0,000-9,999 where the cost per thousand dollars of coverage is set to .02/00.

If you purchase 0,000 ( more) you cost per 00 drops to .92/00! Do you see the immediate difference? Almost a 10% drop right away!

With this being said we recommend you purchase in within 0,000 amount tiers:

-9,999
0,000-9,999
0,000-9,999
0,000-9,999
,000,000-,249,999

Compare Term Life Insurance Online Quote

Hands down the best way to find discount life insurance!

Force Life Insurance Companies to compete among other insurers. It is the best way to save. You will discover that insurers have no choice but to provide their lowest life ins quotes to you. If they don’t then they end up losing business.

Inexpensive Term Coverage is not hard to find if you follow these strategies.

Life Insurance No Medical Exam- Coverage Solutions Explored

Life Insurance No Medical Exam- Coverage Solutions Explored

Life insurance usually involves a lot of paperwork and a medical exam to ensure that you are qualified to get coverage and to determine the cost that you will have to pay. However, there is an option for people who need life insurance quickly or who do not want to deal with the hassle of doctor appointments and waiting 4-6 weeks to get covered. For people who need quick life insurance, no medical exam insurance policies are available. These policies typically cost a little more than other life insurance, but are effective when you need coverage in a hurry.

When you want life insurance without the exam, you have to be willing to fill out the questionnaire accurately and give honest information about the state of your health. Even if you are relatively healthy, of course, you should still expect to pay higher premiums than if you applied for a traditional life insurance policy. The coverage in this type of life insurance is often exclusive and limited because insurance companies have to protect themselves from serious risk. When they do not have a medical exam to determine your risk level, they will do whatever they can to provide coverage while still protecting themselves.

Life insurance with no medical exam often excludes natural death benefits within 2-3 years of the policy taking effect to discourage people who are already ill or who know that they are becoming ill from purchasing these policies in an attempt to get quick coverage before their death. Additionally, many life insurance policies in this category will not have an immediate full payment for accidental death. The typical policy will operate on a progressive scale, with accidental death benefits not being paid at 100% until the 4th or 5th year of coverage.

There may be other exclusions and limitations of coverage with life insurance no medical exam policies. People need to take the time to read the fine print of the policy and make sure that they are getting the best insurance possible. Life insurance without a medical exam can be effective as long as people are certain of what they are getting. If you need instant life insurance coverage or simply want to save time and effort on your insurance purchase, you can consider this type of coverage as long as it suits your needs. Be sure that you get the coverage that you need first and foremost, medical exam or not.

Low Cost Term Life Insurance = Desired Life Coverage

Boom in insurance market and awareness amongst people to buy term policies has brought a new option to explore when buying life coverage. Attraction of term policies can be seen when you are offered low cost term life insurance if you are not in the position to afford normal rates. In fact purchasing a term life insurance policy has become so easy that you hardly bother about any other aspect. As life is uncertain and all of us look for some good life coverage we don’t want to loose a chance for buying term policies.

With the issue of affordability at times we just fail to take a decision in this regard. The insurance companies have been taking care of all these minute details because they are aware of the fact that even though the term policies are available at lower rates but still not everyone can afford them. This is the basic reason behind the introduction of low cost term life insurance policies which ensures that every individual, particularly people from low income group get adequate life coverage. This attempt has been taken to further simplify the process of policy purchase and make people realize the importance of term policies.

When it comes to the choice of buying a low cost term life insurance policy then there are certain specifications upon which the choice is based. Out of the many the first one is the desired tenure of the policy. In this case the policy holder can take the policy for a particular period of time and this completely depends upon him, the tenure can start from one year and may go up to 35 or more years. When you take a whole life insurance policy then you are liable to pay the premium for the lifetime and you might feel financial overburdened but in the case of low cost term life insurance policy you do not feel a financial overburden. It also assures that your policy don’t lapse because you feel at home to pay premiums. The policy doesn’t lapse and the beneficiaries can avail the death benefit only if the policy holder expires during the tenure of the policy.

No death benefit shall be received if the policy holder outlives the tenure of the policy, but it gives you the option to get the policy renewed for one more term. But when you avail for some extra facility you should be ready to shell some extra pennies, yes, in order to avail the renewal facility one has to pay increased rates. There are some other facts that must be understood while buying low cost term life insurance policies. Usually such insurance policies are simpler in nature but still there are some complexities and loopholes which should be understood well and so one should always refer to the quotes.

The death benefit is not the same throughout, there can be a variation in the death throughout the term of the low cost term life insurance policies. The choice of the policies and their categories influences this. The different category that you might select matters the most like decreasing, level or increasing term life insurance policies. Things are not as simple as the look and hence it is very important to understand the low cost term life insurance sincerely and in detail. Do not miss out to reconfirm the process of renewing such policies and if there are any charges associated to this facility before buying the policy.

To smoothen the renewing terms it is very important to understand the details of policies renewal and other such procedures. This is equally applicable to low cost term life insurance like you have in other categories. Even in the case of low cost term life insurance make sure that you know the in and out of renewable and convertible term insurance options. There are certain other things that are to be understood like the process of undergoing medical examinations in the first attempt of buying low cost term life insurance policies, what will happen if you plan to get the same policy renewed, etc.

A transparency in the understanding of the policy holder regarding the various important aspects of the policy is very important and the simplest way to do this is by consulting the quotes. If not quotes then you can contact the insurance broker or underwriter representing particular insurance company whose product you buy and they will guide you through this. The next thing that comes is to understand the details of the procedure of converting low cost term life insurance into some other category. In the case of low cost term life insurance there is no scope of cash value, the sole motive is death benefit and that shall be received by the beneficiaries but this will also happen if the policy holder expires before the expiry of the term.

Last but not the least you should also make an assessment after studying your condition deeply whether you require a low cost term life insurance policy or not. In case you feel that going for the term policies with higher rates may bring more rewarding results and your family will enjoy sufficient death benefit of yours then it is better to go with them rather than selecting low cost term life insurance policies.
